Owner, Leonie Bateman welcomes you to her 'nest', a beautiful old sandstone church, built in 1865.

Now designing under her new design name "Leonie Bateman Designs", Leonie has been designing for many years specialising in wool applique, with a pattern range that is quite extensive, with many designs to choose from.  She is the co-author of the best selling book by Martingale, "Elegant Quilts, Country Charm" and the most recent title, "Country Elegance" which was released in September 2014.

She is also a fabric designer with accompanying woven wool with Penny Rose Fabrics, sister company of Riley Blake Designs.   "Harrington", her first range with Penny Rose Fabrics will be shown at Spring Market in Minneapolis, USA in May 2015 and released Oct/Nov 2015.

Leonie travels domestically and internationally teaching her unique style of wool applique and she loves nothing more than seeing people become addicted to this beautiful medium.  Inside the pages of 'The Quilted Crow' you are bound to find something that will tempt you, whether it be a large quilt or a small table runner, there is something for everyone.

If you would like to visit The Quilted Crow, you will find the old church situated only five minutes from the city of Hobart, easily accessible by public transport (there's a bus stop right out the front).  If you're driving, take Elizabeth St from Hobart and stay on this street for about five minutes, through North Hobart and then into New Town.  The Quilted Crow is located on the left hand side opposite Jackman and McRoss Bakery, about 300m before Risdon Rd.  You can't miss the big old sandstone church!   There's even parking in the driveway!

For those of you who can't visit, Leonie welcomes you to shop online - you'll be delighted to know that for orders over AUD$100 there is free postage (within Australia only) - so grab a cuppa and a comfy chair and see what delights await you inside the pages of The Quilted Crow . . .
